PREMIUM THREAD MANUFACTURING PROCESS
 |
Experienced MACHINE OPERATORS
perform threading of all Benoit® Premium Tubing Connections on
state-of-the-art Computer Numerically Controlled lathes.
Precision ground machining & threading inserts are QC
inspected prior to use in the manufacturing process. This
attention to detail guarantees the thread accuracy & sealing
performance of each connection manufactured at Benoit®.
|
 |
INSPECTION of each & every
connection is performed by a full time Quality Control
Specialist. Our QC Specialists report directly to the Quality
Assurance Manager and operate independently of the Production
Department. Thread inspection includes control of the geometry of
the sealing shoulders, thread height, crest & root diameters,
& concentricity. Final acceptance of all products rests with
the Quality Control process. Connections that do not meet quality
standards are marked for reprocessing. |
 |
ZINC-PHOSPHATE COATING is a chemical coating process applied to the
threaded connection of Carbon Steel tubing. This special
coating process gives the threaded area maximum protection
against corrosion & galling.
|
 |
END BLASTING is performed on the threaded & sealing surfaces
of all Special Alloy tubing, followed by application of a coating
of Dry Moly. This process establishes the connection surface
properties to minimize galling.
|
 |
FINAL INSPECTION / APPLICATION OF
THREAD STORAGE COMPOUND & THREAD PROTECTORS is the final
process prior to storage. Each length is final inspected.
Connections are coated with a rust preventative lubricant &
then fitted with a thread protector to prevent damage during
shipping. |
 |
BENOIT® maintains a
documented training program. All personnel receive SOP
indoctrination, plus on-the-job training & classroom
instruction. Our training program is controlled via computerized
database program to ensure that personnel are always up-to-date
on new or revised procedures.

 |
All tubing is moved on the yard with Forklifts fitted with padded
forks for moving SPECIAL ALLOY tubing. In addition, tubing is
moved to threading in a special cradle that eliminates bundling,
& all rack systems are wood or rubber padded to prevent pipe
damage. Personnel are trained in accordance with documented
Special Alloy handling procedures.
|
 |
BOLSTERING of Special Alloy tubing is available. This practice
minimizes potentially damaging joint to joint contact during
shipping.

Threading racks are capable of
handling range III tubing, & specialty items such as Vacuum
Insulated Tubing (VIT), for special applications.
SIZE
CAPABILITIES
Benoit® can thread tubing ranging in sizes from 3/4" to 5
1/2". Our proprietary connections include forged upset material
such as BTS® & Echo SS™, with connection efficiencies
exceeding that of the tube body; & flush joint connections like
Echo F4™, BFJ™, & BNFJ™ for tight hole applications.
